guys, i need your expert opinions. i got into an accident last night and my 96civic was badly beaten by a passenger jeep. now, i have to replace my hood, my front bumper and my right front wheel panel. i am thinking of getting a fiber glass hood as a replacement. problem is i don't know much about its durability. what are the pros and cons of a fiber glass hood? can it be painted? pwede naman cguro, right? thanks!

Dun sa shop na pinapagawan ko dati, they had this problem.. madaming beses na nangyayari na tumitiklop yung hood tapos tumatama sa windshield...... ang nangyayari kasi, magaan siya tapos hindi gaanong halata kung na-lock ng maigi yung hood... so once medyo bumilis ka at naiwan mong nakabukas yung hood.. for sure bibitaw siya... eh di naman kasing tibay ng fiber glass ang bakal so ayun.. hehehe (cf ka nalang bwahahahahaha) I guess konting ingat nalang pre if ever balak mong gawin yan... pagawa kanalang sa shop na magaling.... as far as the front bumper and front wheel panels are concerned, hindi naman sila ganun kaselan... pero as for hoods, sila usually yung mabilis bumula at usually hindi maganda yung pagkakalapat.. so punta ka sa reputable shop kapag balak mong gawin yan goodluck pre!

For the wind problem, you need to get hood fasteners. Yes you can get CF hoods for less than 10 2nd hand pero meron akong alam local mga 12k lang ata. Fiberglass

as far as i know magaan ang fiberglass hood and alam ko puede siya i paint but it wouldn't look as nice compared sa stock hood. D ata siya magiging ganun ka shiny eh and medio wavy ata Before buying a carbon hood pls take a look at it very carefully (i.e. weave, cracks etc) and make sure to fit it in your car before buying it kasi minsan nice yun quality pero yun fit hindi ganun ka sakto sa car. I'm not sure about sa locally made carbon hoods pero medio alanganin ako hehe Import Hook Up and Emperor Motorsports sell carbon hoods. Maganda yun quality and alam ko sakto din yun fit. Good luck pare! Hope we were able to help
