Nagbabalak na ako magkabit ng intake and chambered muffler... i'm just concerned with the noise it will make. hehehe... sounds person kasi ako so important sa akin na at idle hindi rinig yung engine bay.... kung magkakabit ba ako ng chambered muffler, no matter what i put in iingay ng sobra?.. gusto ko kasi sana mas buo yung tunog ng muffler ko, hindi parang ngayon na umuutot.... gusto ko lang buo pero tahimik. hehe labo ko as far as the intake goes, i'm contemplating between going all the way (buying AEM). or buying simota or other low-end intakes before i take the plunge (sabi kasi ni Chris Ho to eh) .... ano massuggest niyo sa akin? thanks!

The intake, you can go all the way and purchase the kit but if you want budget meals then i would suggest purchasing just the filter and just use custom piping. With this you can manipulate where you have the pipings go where the intake filter faces. Another would be using a dropin filter, its not as noisy as the cone type and you wont have to remove the airbox. Though this would be a bit restrictive. Another option you can opt for is removing the airbox, keep the piping and just buy an aftermarket filter preferrably an HKS for less restriction. For the exhaust best you go with a chambered muffler, the tanabe gmedallion gives a nice deep tone as well as the mugen twin loop but this would probably cost an arm and a leg haha you can do it my way though if you want use a chambered muffler from the DC5R which though may be restrictive since it is stock it still gives performance gains since it isn't as restrictive as civic stock, though i am not sure if it would do for you since 2.2 liters honda would've prolly given you same size chambers plus it aint as bling as the shiny Tanabes If the chambered muffler is still noisy once installed you can change your resonator or just get that sound deadening you've been longing for HTH

i say go for knn filters and piping. although i have heard people say that it doesnt matter what brand you get, so long as you get a big filter and big piping. aem is also good, pero its not advisable to get the cold-air intake system. the CAI made by aem is not designed to withstand the floods we have here e. as for the muffler, id suggest either the 5zigen border na chambered, or tanabe g medallion. these are the two that give a whole and complete sound that is relatively quiet on idle, but roars a bit louder when you open the throttle. you can also get the dc5r. that sounds good as well. if its okay with you, you can get second hand mufflers in AI. try looking for DC sports na twin canister muffler, heard that sounds good as well just avoid free flow, straight canister type mufflers and u'l be sure to lessen the noise
